Sisters’ Weekend

Although lots of rain was predicted, four sisters came to Emandal last weekend from Idaho, Oregon, Petaluma… and Willits, to visit, as well as lend a hand on the farm. From water-logged…….

….to drying off and warming up by the fire…..

…. the weekend was filled with garden clean-up….

….drip irrigation sorting in the barn….

….digging up and potting plants for the May 11th Gleaner’s Plant Sale in Willits….

… and even a walk to the river!

The fourth weekend in March was a taste of all kinds of weather…. and a vivid reminder that in spite of the cold and wet, nature comes through with color!

A resounding thank-you for the generous assistance towards making this place flourish!

Some of the first asparagus spears this season…..
