Winter 2020-Tam’s Soup of the Week

Beginning Thursday, December 3, 2020, we will be bringing quart jars of thick, rich, incredibly delicious, magnificently nutritious, soup….. along with large, extraordinarily superb loaves of bread into town, to distribute to those who have ordered them. Many ingredients will come from our garden, root cellar and barn….. the rest will be locally procured. Flour is organic, from Keith Giusto’s Grains in Petaluma.

We have three enormous stainless steel pots….. that mostly fit onto the top of our wood cook stove. Therefore, we’ll make three different soups each week. Yes, we’ll do at least one vegetarian, maybe all three. And yes, we’ll do some with meat…. but not all three. Vegan? Probably not…. but then again, I may run out of butter! Gluten-free? Many will be, just because I don’t thicken soups with flour often. But, I will put in homemade noodles occasionally!

And as for the wood cook stove, I definitely use it when it’s cold out! Otherwise we’d freeze in our kitchen!

We will try our darndest to post soup varieties on Friday mornings. They’ll be up until they’re sold out.
