About the Instructor

Marcia and her husband Cliff, have lived on a mountain top within a 20 acre parcel, in Willits, Mendocino County,  for the past thirty-seven years.  They call it the  “Up and Down Ranch”.  Their children grew up here enjoying the forest and meadows, the seasonal changes. She feels very fortunate to have a studio space above their garage that is her haven for creating, sewing, painting and making very large messes that she can clean up “later”.  She  loves birding, gardening, and reading a really good novel.

Past Workshop/Teaching Experience:

-18 years Early Childhood Education, and  Waldorf Kindergarten : Taught  Doll Making workshops  to parents almost every year -creating puppets, dolls and silk marionettes

-As a class  teacher for 10 years,  taught  handcrafts in 3rd-8th grades  Doll Making, simple weaving, embroidery, felting

   – Upon “retirement” has worked with homeschoolers and Adult groups in Doll making, Watercolor Painting, pastels, and drawing,
