For years, we hosted a Fall Festival, the Saturday after Thanksgiving…. until we didn’t. Not that we don’t appreciate work on the farm… but I think that particular event got to be too much… especially when it rained or snowed. However, wreath-making on that Saturday has remained. We still do it, and welcome anyone who wants to come join us! Manzanita, fir, pine and madrone from our woods…. redwood and huckleberry from friends on the other side of Willits…. rosemary, snowberries, olive, cotoneaster, cedar, bay, willow, turkey feathers and rose hips from the farm. And who knows what-all from the folks who come. Only now we have a wreath-making machine. Instead of wrapping green wire, we can make bundles, and attach them to specific wire rings using the machine crimper. It allows EVERYONE success! This year was no exception. Mid sun and rain, wreaths upon wreaths!
