One of the great joys of knitting is creating gifts for friends and family. Whether it’s a warm winter hat, a soft blanket, or a whimsical toy, a present made by hand is one that comes from the heart. Designers Andrea and Gayle Shackleton have created a collection of knitted items that are perfect for gift-giving.
During this workshop, they will teach students how to make several of the hats featured in their book, Great Knitted Gifts, which is available for purchase on Amazon.

6 stitches x 8 rows=1 inch in stockinette stitch. Knit 1 row purl back. A variety of hand-spun wool in a variety of colors will be available for purchase from the instructors;

About the Instructors
Sisters Andrea and Gayle Shackleton have been designing and knitting sweaters by hand for nearly 35 years. Their company, Hot Knots, boasts a line of sweaters, dresses, accessories, and children’s sweaters. Through their Tara designs, the Shackletons aid a nonprofit women’s knitting cooperative in Nepal. The women there hand-dye the woolen yarns used in the designs and knit the items for the line.
